Bihar stands at a pivotal moment in its development journey, characterised by a young population, rising aspirations, and strong linkages with labour markets across India and beyond. As India advances towards the vision of a developed nation by 2047, Bihar’s progress will significantly shape the country’s future.
The Convention brings together scholars and experts, policymakers, industry leaders, civil society members, development practitioners, and members of the Bihar diaspora from India and abroad to deliberate on pathways for transforming Bihar into a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable economy.

A two-day forum providing a platform for scholars, researchers, experts, and young professionals to present their research findings and deliberate on issues addressing Bihar’s key development challenges. Around 50 papers are planned for presentation.

Participation in both events is by invitation and registration only. Secure your place early to join the conversation on Bihar’s development.
The deadline for registration for participants requiring accommodation is 30 November 2026. Other participants are requested to register by 15 December, 2026.
